We first wanted to head to d' Good Cafe, but I had a feeling that it was actually REALLY crowded - being a Sunday, and that the cafe was sorta mainstream already... but we went ahead to try our luck. There were alfresco seats but the weather was too hot... and for indoor seating, there were lots of seat hogs or people studying (some people have no shame) so yeah... we decided to change location.
We walked around over to Breko Cafe, and the atmosphere was pretty chill. There was a TV playing soccer too, so James was like "AW YES" hahahhaa. I ordered their 'Gold Fish' aka fish and chips, while James ordered their 'King Kong Burger'. True to the name, the burger was huge and he didn't even finish it. He finished until like maybe 4/5 of the burger? Which is rare, because he usually finishes his own food and mops up mine too. But he said his was good... mine wasn't. Frankly, The Reel Room's fish and chips tastes way better. But that's my opinion.
Btw, in the picture below, you can see that there are wedges and at the utmost top left corner, a bowl of something. It's called bacon potato mash I think. They were side dishes and the mash tastes really cool though, a nice mix. They also serve breakfast, but only till 12. Ironically, their cafe name is 'Breko'. Not that 'breakfast-y' I guess.
This is my meal.
This is James'. Look at the bacon!!1!!1!111!

But anyhoo, it was pretty cooling there. Afterwards we walked towards Chip Bee Gardens to head over to Sunday Folks. It wasn't that hot, and while walking we saw a lot of other cafes. We're gonna explore those next time, but yeah.
We arrived at Sunday Folks to see that there were so many people. We queued for the waffles anyways. Just a note: maybe because it was Sunday, it was really crowded. So if you do go, I suggest you ask your friend to grab a seat while you queue or something. People kept snatching seats even before they ordered. Which was really rude imo.
There was this guy who was kind enough to refuse someone else their seats because he saw that James and I were standing there for super long already... so I guess there are people with a conscience.
The Madagascar Vanilla ice cream we chose for the waffles was... okay, but James ordered pistachio as an add on and that tasted SO GOOD! Like velvet and silk on your tongue. The pistachio taste doesn't come in immediately but a couple of seconds later, when it explodes on your tongue. God, so good.
Immensely enjoyed the waffles. The waffles were also crispy and tasted really good. The combination would probably have been a little better with some honey on the waffles, but that's just me. Overall great food, great ambience but just too many people today. If I had to choose a cafe to relax at on weekends, this wouldn't be my first choice.

Hope this review was okay? I don't usually take a lot of pictures... cause once I get THE shot I start on the food already hehe.
BTW guys, DO NOT rub your eyes too hard. I rubbed it too hard and I got Chemosis. If you don't know what that is, google it. A part of my eye became puffed up with air and it was really fucking scary. It didn't hurt to blink but it was sure uncomfortable as hell.
Scary as fuck.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed the post! x
