Quick Summation of 2014

I'll try to keep this as short and sweet as possible. It's been quite a year, what with me entering poly and making new friends. Nothing will have prepared me for RP, and I'm quite surprised to find myself blending into the crowd with no issues. I expected some sort of culture shock. But then my sem 1 classmates were all really good people (they still are, just that sadly we're all in different classes now) who helped me with my transition from secondary school to tertiary education.

35 minute period classes with only one recess turned into 8:30am class with two breaks and class till 3:30PM everyday. I like this better. With aircon all day and internet access, why not right? Poly is more relaxing than secondary school, I'll give you that.

I kept in touch with my secondary school friends and I'm happy to say that Gen is back here to stay. Good news? She'll be in RP next year too, so I can basically just see her on every weekday!!!11!1!11 Also, Natasha has become one of my closest friends HAHA I actually sorta expected our friendship to taper off a little but NAH it stayed pretty strong. Love her.

It's been a year of ups and downs but I'll say that I enjoyed it tremendously. With the likes of Abby and Juhria, how can I not right? Of course not forgetting Syakila and Maisarah (who are both super cute and funny wtf teach me senpais) HAHA I love them all so much!!!!

Planning to end 2014 with a BANG. Ok kidding going to go for Sentosa's Countdown party with Natasha & Pres + her friends so ya, hoping it'll be fun. Bet we'll be camping at the McDonald's 3+ onwards waiting for breakfast LOL.

Of course the last person that I'd like to mention is of course my boyfriend Jaaaaames whom I started the year 2014 with and will happily end 2014 with. Boy's growing taller and buffer (he he he) and I can't wait for 2015 to come. Our 3 year anniversary is coming soon and all I wanna say to him is a BIG thank you for putting up with me and loving me.

ILLUMI(NATI) RUN

Just kidding. It's a proper run. Just that I overheard someone (can't tell if kidding or seriously overly religious) say that on the MRT. It went like this.

"EH! I heard got this run leh, Illumirun. Satanic one! ILLUMI(NATI)RUN!

SMH. Some people seriously. I hope they ARE seriously just kidding. Anyways, this post is completely and will be full of my own opinions. I'm entitled to them. Hais. ;)

So the other day when my dad was driving me to school, I was listening to 987fm, and then they suddenly mentioned that they had a discount code for Illumirun! I perked up to listen a bit and turns out it was a whole $20 off the original price (which was $78). So I messaged my best friends and we all decided to sign up (not immediately but at separate times LOL) for the run.

It's a mediocre 'run', 5KM and also we all joked that it was more of 'Illumiwalk' LOLOL but it was pretty cool to see a shitload of people in their Illumirun gear, all lit up like mini walking Christmas trees. *insert pedomoon face*

So we all arrived later than our so called 'meeting time' which was at like 5PM, we arrived at like 6PM... nevermind, this is common for us already. After eating dinner, we went to the Handicap toilet (hey, it's a habit for us already, don't judge) check out the swag gang. My shirt is size M by the way, all our shirts are size M.

 Pardon us, most of our pictures are in squares... Instagram ready, y'know... Also that day I put on makeup to go for a run. Sounds so ridiculous but man if I wore contacts without makeup I'd just look like a fricking sec school kid who has no idea how to use makeup LOL. I also couldn't wear my glasses cause I didn't want to keep pushing it up the bridge of my nose every 5 seconds zzz

 All geared up with out shit! That day I lent Natasha my red bandana and I wore my black one, so we kinda were 'twinning' oh jesus who uses that word anymore?? But I can't find a better word for it... so... eh. Pres and Gen bought the Illumirun headband and Pres kinda looked like Naruto HAHHAH the headband gg

First place I got splashed with paint: my eye. How nice. I was also the only one who wore the glasses on my head the ENTIRE TIME. Btw, Pres' pack was spoilt. HER ENTIRE PACK WAS SPOILT her light stick her armband her bag LOL WTF??

This is everyone's shirt after like I think 4KM? Every KM they have a paint splash station wheehuu different colours for each station too! Can you recognize who is who?

Gen looks like she has a super huge kiss imprint on her forehead, and Pres' head is literally GLOWING LOL frick we all look like aliens?

We also got some strangers to take this pix for us (we took for them too) and you can see NOTHING but all the illuminated parts... we look like black people.

This was an underground rave area, (my fav tbh) and the music was the BEST here!! It was also fucking trippy (and hot) LOL the lights were flashing in my face all the time. I loved it. Thank god they had fans down there though.

The ironic thing about this picture is that previously (before I always tried to jio both of them out) they both were very hesitant about hanging out bc they were scared that they would have NOTHING to talk about, and also that the other disliked them??? WHICH IS RIDICULOUS LOL so one day I dragged them out altogether to USS and BAM we all got along real well. See? Told ya I was right. They were arguing about what *swag* hand motion to use for this pix. Ridiculous I tell you.

Couple of groupshots! I look awkward in the one on the right. Dk what I was doing with my leg though. In these pictures, Pres was wearing ALL of our tutu skirts. So techincally only Gen didn't buy one. We said Pres looked like Elsa on the run, and she was finally the princess she always wanted to be (back in her lian phase) HAHAHAH FK but she looked really cute in it lah so ok. Close one eye.

 Decided to let my hair down after the run, and LOOK AT THOsE WAVES I'm convinced to get a perm now before I go to Japan. Also, CHECK OUT THE POST RUN SELFIE wtf my makeup stayed on????? This is ridiculous. Usually after 3 hours outside (in aircon) my eyeliner smudges and makes me look like I got socked in the eye. I perspired for like fucking 4 hours out there AND MY EYELINER DOESN'T EVEN FUCKING SMUDGE NOT ONE BIT WHAT EVEN

Natasha also stained the MRT pink with the paint in her hair. NICE and she was supposed to go to fclub afterwards LOL BUT WE WERE ALL SO TIRED HAHHAHAH WTF

Think I made a smart choice wearing my old secondary school converse to 'run'... didn't wanna stain my Roshe runs, though Natasha didn't care about hers b/c her main pair of sports shoes was something else. SIGH. Look at the colors though, they're really bright. This was like 3 days after the run.

VERDICT:

DO NOT GO unless it's something like a bucketlist goal. Because this run is mediocre and the paint is easily washed off your shirt. So SIAN? 5km also very boring apparently. The rave wasn't very impressive either, according to my friends. They're the professionals in this, I have no idea. But I definitely trust Natasha's judgement on this. She and I raved longer than Pres and Gen though cause they left the crowd. Jesus Christ the heat as we stood amongst all the people... it fogged up my god damn glasses.

Also there was this fucking fat chick trying to push against me AND SHE WAS GRINDING AGAINST MY ASS WITH HER ASS 80% OF THE TIME. YO I KNOW YOU WANNA IMPRESS UR FRIENDS WITH GYRATING YO ASS BUT PLS DON'T DO IT ON MINE??? I KNOW I VERY SKINNY YOU CAN SQUISH ME BUT DON'T RUB UR ASS AGAINST MINE??? HELLO????

There is zero concept of personal space in there and I understand, BUT WHY ARE YOU RUBBING UR BUTT AGAINST MINE STOP THAT'S EURGH.

Ok rant over. Also, I paid $4 for sunkist orange juice. Fucking $4. Fuck my life hello.

But either way we all had fun. Pres went to take a lightstick (it's made of styrofoam don't worry) and whacked people's head as they ran past us (on the opposite side) and one of them yelled 'JIBAI' LOL I CAN'T. Also some faggots tried to grab MY lightstick FUCK YOU GET YOUR OWN. We were all hi-fiving (I used my lightstick) the people running opp us and some of them wanted to hi 5 us but fucking withdrew their hand at the last minute. We all pointed middle finger LOL fucking guailan.

The concept of Illumirun is pretty cool lah but I won't be going next year, definitely. We're all def going for Color Run though, can't wait already!

I'm going to Japan in a couple of weeks' time, and I'm already trying to plan for what to wear and such. Hopefully it snows!! I'm headed to Osaka, Kyoto then Tokyo. Hopefully I get to go to American Apparel......... Ok I can't stop thinking about shopping VAL STOP. I just went on a fricking big haul yesterday. Wait, let me count.

Heya guys! I know it's been a while since I've written a post with proper content, but today I'm here to talk about one of things that I have taken a fancy to in my life: clothes. It's no surprise that nowadays girls (and guys) strive to look their best - perhaps they want to impress someone or dress well to please themselves, it depends on the individual. I'm not particularly impressive when it comes to fashion but I think I know how to dress myself decently.

I'm not sure how I picked up my style, but it just sort of happened, so yeah. I'm going to talk about some essentials that a girl MUST have in their wardrobe - to me these are MUST HAVES so yeah, I wouldn't know about the rest of you but I think everyone has their own preferences, so I'm just going to tell you mine!

Tops:

• Spaghetti camisoles
• Crop tops
• Graphic shirts
• V-neck shirts (H&M omfg)
• Muscle tanks
• Flannel shirts (for wearing/ layering)

Bottoms:

• High waisted shorts
• Skinny jeans
• Ripped jeans
• Maxi skirt
• Pencil skirt
• Shorts
• Skater skirt
• Midi skirt (though I don't wear it much, I own one)

Dresses:

• Sundress 
• Babydoll dress

Now that we're past WHAT to own, it's time to talk about designs. Color palettes are important and so is putting your entire outfit together. I used to love floral, but I kinda got sick of it once I turned 17. So then I turned to the next most reliable thing: monochrome and denim. I slowly realized that my wardrobe was turning into one that had mostly black and white stuff. It's really easy to pair things when it's black and white.

Don't go pairing red with white if you can't pull it off without looking like the Indonesian/Singapore flag. Experiment a little, try out some bold colors once in a while to slowly find out what kind of color palette suits your skin/ your personal style. My best friend, Genevieve, is a jeans and crop top with flannel kinda girl, though some days she does put on a dress or a skirt.

For me I prefer shorts & skirts because I feel less restricted that way. I tend to get cold easily so unless I'm wearing something long sleeved, you'll hardly see me anywhere without my outerwear. Of course sometimes I deviate and put on a pair of jeans, but most of the time it's a no.

There are fashion Instagrams that post up outfit coordinates for girls, like @fashionfury and others that can help you if you're unsure of what I'm talking about. Like for example, I'd pair a boyfriend shirt (oversized) with shorts and boots with a belt for an edgy look that still gives off a girly vibe because the shirt makes me look petite.

Or I'd wear a crop with a flannel paired with jeans, and I'd take the flannel off when it's hot and simply tie it around my waist. It's pretty convenient and it's a failproof casual look. Flannels are easy to get now, especially while stores are in the F/W season of their collections. Berskha, Uniqlo, Topshop, H&M are good places to check out.

If you're going for a more boho vibe, then I suggest you check out F21. H&M caters more to the basic necessities, and just try not to shop at Cotton On. If you do, check out their camisoles. I'm a huge fan of those. Their shorts aren't bad either, but don't buy the weird looking ones. Out of 10 designs I usually like only 2? Their pencil skirts are good, you can get them from there.

My accessories come from a myriad of places. F21, Topshop, Cotton On, Factorie and Lovisa are MUST check outs. Lovisa has lots of offers so it'd be great if you could find a couple of steals from there. Chokers mostly from Topshop and Lovisa.

Also, I almost forgot to mention. Shoes make a BIG difference in your outfit. If I wore say, a graphic tee with jeans/ shorts with my flannel/ leather jacket and I put on my Dr Marts, there's this sort of rocker vibe. If I put on my slip ons it'll look more casual. So sometimes shoes make or break your outfit.

Of course not forgetting the guys! Sometimes I see guys and I mentally file away what they wear for future reference on how to dress my son because DAMN you look good I want my son to look that way too, not like a loser.

So some things that I think every guy SHOULD own at least one of:

• A pair of berms in khaki, black or navy
• Plain cotton tees (in white, maroon, navy or black. YUM!)
• A FLANNEL SHIRT
• V neck tees (YUM x5)
• A leather jacket (if you can afford it, or just buy fake leather)
• A pair of fitting jeans
• A hoodie
• A pair of sports shoes (NB, Nike, Adidas)
• A nice watch

I mean, cotton tees (especially white) on ripped guys just aha ha hA ha help goodbye. No, I'm serious. All of the female friends whom I have consulted agree with my statement. I mean even if you're average looking, a white cotton tee is simple and will never go wrong. Just try not to stain it though, you'll look sloppy.

A nice outfit would perhaps be: a pair of berms, a white cotton tee with a flannel shirt on top. Classic, will never go wrong. Goes with almost anything (except boots lel) like a pair of slip ons or even slippers HAHAHAH wtf.

I mean nobody has to take my word for it because all these are based on my opinion, but I hope you've enjoyed this pictureless post? IDK ok I just wanted to write something without spilling out my emotions and this seemed like the perfect topic/subject.

Honestly I'm no poet, but today's one of those days where I just really

Halloween Horror Nights 4

Hey guys. I just wanted to tell you that the League of Legends World Championship 2014 has just ended and the amount of feels that are flowing through me right now cannot be put into words properly. The players are so humble, the Imagine Dragons performance was fucking fantastic and the overall breakdown of the matches by the analyst desk was fabulous.

It was so cool though, in the preview show they mentioned the collaboration with Imagine Dragons. Their latest song Warriors was created in mind thanks to League of Legends as a sort of collab with Riot Games, because they also play League on their tour and whenever they're free. It's so cute, cause they mentioned like before concerts, they'd be backstage playing League! So cute.

So yesterday (18th) I went to Halloween Horror Nights 4 with all of my besties and a couple of new friends!

Before that, we went to check in at the hotel, so yeah. Did my makeup in there before heading over to Vivo to get some drinks and food. :D

(Natasha brought her two best friends in Poly) hehe there was me, Natasha, Jiayi, Pres, Gen, Siti, Janis and Sheryl in total so 8 people! Pres nd Janis arrived a lil later then we walked in via the boardwalk since it was free entry anyways, and I started talking to Jan a bit so then we all were outside digging out our tickets. We were quite a sight to behold.

Taken by Natasha, btw. A lot of pics will be contributions from my dear friends bc even though I did bring my DSLR, having fun = not being able to hold on to my camera much. I was afraid that people would bump into me or what, so I kept it most of the time. :|

First off we went inside, went to the toilet and walked towards the New York scare zone. Btw, the scare actors' makeup... wah, really good. Damn funny. I was damn scared but I just kept laughing at them and they all looked damn sian cause like they confirm think: "Wah lao these girls no kick one."

Quite fucking funny leh. Then we started navigating towards the pizza parlour area towards the place that looks like the town hall or something. It was pretty scary looking. Got severed head of the Statue of Liberty and the hand or something. Really chaotic. We also took a picture with a minion HAHAHHA.

Ya I had a video on my Snapchat too but I'm not gonna post it, it's 10 seconds. I have another video though! When we arrived, we caught a performance! I taped it down on my DSLR, there's 1080HD so just watch it ok. A bit blurry sometimes cause I forgot to manual focus. Fucking hate autofocus on video.

So afterwards, Gen warned us that we better leave before it ended bc they would fucking chase us away HAHAH like the scare actors!!! So we headed towards The Mummy ride and fuck the people were damn scary looking cause it was a frikkin scare zone HAHAHA so many people were fucking screaming.

Yeah. Terrifying. Spot the red indian? Anyways, we went to stuff our shit in the locker and Jan + Tasha went to try and pick up Siti then we all went for the ride. I swear I was fucking dying ok I have a fear of rollercoasters and the thing about it is that it's in the dark so The Mummy is fine. But I was like screaming all the time (I rly am scared) and I was like saying I was going to die REPEATEDLY hahahah omfg.

Oh then Natasha genius went to point middle finger at the photo then it got blocked out. But I caught a sneak at it lah I looked fucking ridiculous my hair was flying all over and my face was scrunched up in terror. Horrible looking, I swear.

After that we grabbed our bags and went for PIZZA! Walked back and the performance was over already so I snapped a picture of the place again. Gen and I also took a pix with a scare actor HAHA.

Ok lah he looked really bored and he wasn't trying to scare us he was just limping around and then we decided to just snap a pix with him. Everyone was commenting that I stood v far from him BUT OI I didn't want to get any makeup on me ok -_-

The pepperoni pizza was nice and we got our fucking drinks for free HAHAHAH wth and the pizza is fucking huge somemore. Most of us peeled the pineapples off HAHHAAH me included. Hate the pineapples on pizzas.

They had this rly cute layout though for HHN4 :D

Then afterwards we went to a scare zone: The Bogeyman. Wah fuck they damn scary they will jump scare you a LOT but most of them are behind fences or inside cupboards, and they just jump out at you. At one part, where we were reaching the most important point (THE bogeyman) some fella jumped out of a cupboard and scared the fucking daylights out of Siti and she just fucking FELL TO THE FLOOR I was so scared I made this half terrified half laughter noise, and the scare actor who was acting as the Bogeyman actually laughed like "HAHAHHA" then realized that he had to stay in character, and continued saying "ha ha ha ha ha" and Gen was like -_- as she helped Siti up omg it was hilarious. Highlight of the haunted house.

Then we wanted to go and see Jing's Revenge but it was so fucking full? Would take 2 hrs 20 mins so we decided to see the Jack's 3D dementia house thingy. The thing took like > an hour to queue for but if you like trippy stuff then why not? It's rly cool but forget the glasses, they just make you dizzier and I could barely put them on bc of my glasses. Not much diff if have or no have cause still damn colorful @_@

It was fucking hilarious. The last part is the best btw!!!The vertigo bridge was fucking hilarious and I was damn giddy afterwards I felt like the world literally just shifted beneath my feet ok!!
Afterwards the others headed to Mati Camp nd Gen nd I went to grab some Ben N' Jerry's so that we could chill a little cause Gen wasn't feeling well after the clown house.

After that we walked back to Starbucks and met up with the girls so that we could grab drinks~ we left for Azzura afterwards - they got in, but Gen Jiayi and I declined. They actually wanted me to go and I would have but... I wanted to make sure Gen and Jiayi got back to the hotel safely so I made sure to accompany them back. They're terrible at directions. They could barely remember where we walked ;-;

We walked from RWS to Siloso then back to RWS and to the boardwalk, then went to our hotel. We showered and rested a bit until the rest of them came back from Azzura. Apparently they had lots of fun but didn't drink any alcohol. A lot of grinding, dancing and touchies here and there. Sounds pretty fucking freaky. I'm not paying $30 to get groped.

Anyways while I was there, I saw lots of girls in bikinis and guys half naked lmao there was this rly pretty girl (damn hot) in a bikini and fucking hot shorts nd Pres said that she looked ready to go home and fuck hard LOL I told her that she looked like she ready to woohoo already HAHHAH fk the girl rly look damn hot. But her makeup also quite thick so idk.

I bought cup noodles hahahah omg damn shiok went back ate and showered then we played some Cards Against Humanity until they came back and they all showered nd we all just sorta played until like 6am before we all crashed. Quite stupid actually since we all sorta only napped like 2-3 hours?

Idk how the photos got arranged like this but ok. Yeah this was pretty much us showering and resting and taking turns. Funniest thing was that bc the shower was frosted glass, you can kinda see everything if you stand too close to the glass.

But when EVERYONE showered, couldn't rly see anything but the outline... except for Sheryl omg we saw too much ;-; indecent exposure HAHHAHA but aiya we'er all girls so to us it's okay.

Anyways then we conked out after Cards Against Humanity.

And in the morning Gen was trying to figure out how to wake all of us up cause we were all dog tired and it was hilarious cos Jiayi's alarm went off and nobody wanted to budge to touch the phone bc SLEEEEEEEP. All fucking dead to the world ok.

But ya she shut it up and eventually everyone's alarms started ringing. We woke up, wash face brush teeth change then we all left for breakfast at Mac's.

Ya that's me just woken up.... I know I look really bad so I covered my face HAHAHAH. Afterwards I left for home, nd watched the League of Legends World Championships Finals, then showered, had dinner, played a couple of League games before writing this post. And here I am now.
It's so nice to do something like this RIGHT before school starts PLUS it's w all of my good (and new) friends. They're a fucking fun bunch ok! Anws then tomorrow is a new sem for school for me, which means new classmates and new modules. I hope they're all nice. Can't wait to see all my friends again though, promised to visit them at Ngee Ann sometime soon :D
